Our journey

We have been asked many times about the orientation of our name – “Tentpole” Data Sciences. If you have ever gone camping then you will understand the importance of Tentpoles.  We view tentpoles as being data streams within your own business and just as important.  The simple act of erecting a single tentpole when camping will fundamentally allow the camper to start to work more effectively within their environment.  This is exactly the same in business.  For every tentpole erected and interlocked within your own business, using your data streams, industry data, supplier data and the like will allow our clients to not only develop a stronger and more resistant business.  Not only does Tentpole Data Sciences understand the data that is important to our clients business but we look at how and where it is stored, where it is sourced from, the automation, transformation and loading of the data.  When we established Tentpole our solutions were to encompass the end to end lifecycle of the data and all through to the software layers of the applications using the data.

GRANT SPINDLER

Managing Director

Grant Spindler has worked in the IT industry as an Executive with almost 20 years of practical experience. He achieved his Bcom (UNISA) in 1999 and joined a leading ICT organisation in Johannesburg. During his 17 year tenure, Grant led various portfolios in business development, service creation, service delivery, outsourcing and innovation. Grant was responsible for regions in Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific. Throughout Grant’s career, he has gained exposure in a variety of mainstream Industries in both public and private sectors.

Malusi achieved his honours in Computer Science in 2013, Malusi has a broad skill set focused on creating and operating technology companies. He has held various roles focusing on revenue generation and cost reduction for large corporates. Malusi’s career has given him the opportunity to work on large scale projects serving both SMEs to large Enterprises. This has allowed him torefactor, repair and maintain invoicing and billing systems. He has also started, coordinated and managed a technology incubator focused on creating consumer and enterprise Internet technology companies.

Head of International Operations and Internal Governance

Linda is responsible for ensuring operational delivery and client satisfaction through project deployments, as well as adherence to our proven project methodologies. Linda has established and maintains the Project Management Office (PMO) whose mission is to deliver and maintain successful projects consistently and efficiently so that every organization is led to drive meaningful results. Her leadership style focuses on providing teams with the direction and support they need, developing sound productivity strategies to meet set project deliverables, organizational efficiencies and overall operational improvements. Whilst Linda is not studying to add to her long list of accolades, she enjoys reading, hiking, experimenting in the kitchen and taking her animals on walks. 

 

KELLY-ANNE KANTOR

KELLY-ANNE KANTOR

Head of Sales Operations

Kelly-Anne has worked for various industries including Financial Sector and Telecoms.  She is a strong willed and passionate individual that provides nothing less than her full cooperation and focus. She is a practical thinker and active problem solver which positions her very well in providing solutions through technology, processes and analysis. Throughout Kelly-Anne’s career she has continued to excel and deliver against the highest level of quality resulting in maximum returns for her clients. She believes that Customer Success is imperative to the overall company sustainability.  Kelly-Anne obtained a wide variety of certifications and degrees including a B.Com, Agile, Business Analysis, Lean Six Sigma and Prince2 project skills.  In her down time, Kelly enjoys spending time with friends and family, travel and long nature walks.
